THE OBJECTIVE OF MISS LOCAL GOVERNMENT, DELTA STATE
The principal objective of this beauty pageant includes the following:

1. To promote indigenous culture and local tourism
2. To inculcate in the youth traditional norms and cultural values
3. To promote indigenous languages in the face of the recent cultural decadence
4. To highlight and promote the custom and tradition of the people
5. To promote our cultural attires and dressing
6. To promote inter-tribal relationship
7. To promote peaceful co-existence amongst Deltans

OUR VISION STATEMENT
Our goal is to use this event to unite the 25 local government of Delta State for the period of four (4) years office tenure. This translates to yearly support by individuals, corporate bodies and government agencies that affect and are affected by this unity project.
METHODOLOGY
There will be auditioning of the selected contestants in each of the local Government Area to qualify for the grand finale to be held in Asaba or Warri.
Below is the list of some activities during the grand finale:

1. Beauty contest
2. Traditional fashion contest
3. Native menus
4. Display of cultural heritages and cultural dance
5. Native dialect sections/contest
